Michigan Allied Poultry Industries
Annual Scholarship Program

Michigan Allied Poultry Industries (MAPI) Scholarships are authorized by the MAPI Board and Scholarship Committee to encourage post high school education at a college or university with a focus on the poultry industry.

Applicant Requirements:

Must be a Michigan resident or attending a Michigan university.

Must be an undergraduate or graduate student that is actively pursuing a career in a poultry-related field or a business with a focus on the poultry industry.

Must be attending an accredited school.

Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits each semester during the school year in which the scholarship is awarded.

Must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or better.

Must have work or internship experience leading to a career in poultry. Applicant is encouraged, but not required, to be a part of MAPI internship program.

Students will be required to submit:

  • Application
  • Short essay on internship experience (maximum one page, 12 pt. font, single spaced)
  • One letter of recommendation

Students may receive scholarship for a maximum of four (4) years.

Scholarship Awarding:

Scholarship award = $1,500 per applicant per year

Application must be in the offices of MAPI no later than November 1

Scholarship awarding will occur in November, for the current school year

The scholarship check will be sent to the address provided on the application and payable to the student.

Recipients must provide a recent headshot photograph.

Scholarship recipients are requested to attend the annual MAPI Winter Poultry Seminar, held in February, for recognition.
