Must be an undergraduate or graduate student that is actively pursuing a career in a poultry-related field or a business with a focus on the poultry industry.
Must be attending an accredited school.
Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits each semester during the school year in which the scholarship is awarded.
Must maintains a grade point average of 3.0 or better.
Must complete an internship at a Michigan poultry farm or poultry agribusiness in the summer months previous to receiving the scholarship. Applicant is encouraged, but not required, to be a part of MAPI internship program.
Students will be required to submit:
Students may receive scholarship for a maximum of four (4) years.
Scholarship award = $1,500 per applicant per year
Application must be in the offices of MAPI no later than October 15.
Scholarship awarding will occur in fall, for the upcoming/current school year
The scholarship check will be sent to the address provided on the application and payable to the student.
Recipients must provide a recent headshot photograph.
Scholarship recipients are requested to attend the annual MAPI Winter Poultry Seminar, held in February, for recognition.
